Dandenong Stadium will close today at 4:00PM in light of the 7-Day Lockdown announcement this morning by the Victorian Government.

All remaining fixtures have been postponed and will be re-scheduled when restrictions are eased. Dandenong Basketball will be in constant communication with the City Of Greater Dandenong council over the coming days and weeks to see what a re-opening will look like should we be allowed to post-lockdown.

While this is disappointing news for the DBA Family please be assured that we will be working towards a fitting conclusion to a fantastic summer season of domestic basketball.

In line with these restrictions Basketball Victoria have also cancelled or postponed their programs, with this Friday’s VJBL fixtures cancelled and our Youth League fixtures postponed. This Sunday’s NBL1 South home event against Sandringham may still go ahead however with Basketball Victoria seeking special permission for the competition to proceed without spectators.

A frustrating time ahead but we’ve got through this before DBA Family and we can do it again! Stay positive and connect with teammates, coaches and friends online, hopefully a return to basketball will be just around the corner.
