While steps towards a return to basketball are being made Dandenong Basketball’s domestic fixtures will continue to be postponed with the latest easing of restrictions still not allowing for a proper resumption of competition.
Restriction levels from Thursday June 17th at 11:59PM will allow for a maximum of 50 people per venue indoors, forcing us to continue the postponement of the remaining domestic finals.
We are hopeful that restrictions will be eased further next week and are planning towards a resumption of competition from Friday June 25th.
This is line with Basketball Victoria’s latest Return To Sport update, with the governing body cancelling this week’s VJBL fixtures and re-scheduling games for both BigV and VJBL competitions.
Basketball Victoria have confirmed that training can resume however for both junior and senior teams, with our clubs and representative teams to be contacted with more information shortly.
Stay tuned to dandenongbasketball.com.au for more updates as we work towards a return to basketball activities.
