Dandenong Basketball is excited to announce that Nadeen Payne has signed with our Senior Women’s team for the upcoming NBL1 season.

Nadeen will join us after a strong 2019-20 campaign with the WNBL’s Perth Lynx, now having accumulated 10 seasons in the league after starting her professional career with the AIS team.

One of the NBL1’s leading scorers in the league’s inaugural season, Nadeen will add scoring punch both on the wings and in the paint for the Rangers, complimenting 2019’s no. 1 scorer Bec Cole.

Coach Lloyd Klaman was thrilled to learn that Nadeen had put pen-to-paper for the 2020 NBL1 South season, knowing that she’ll be a terrific fit for the exisiting Dandenong Women’s team.

“Nadeen gives us a real scorer at the 4-Spot, someone who can get us a bucket inside & outside the paint”, said Klaman. “She averaged 18 points per game in a stacked Bendigo team last NBL1 season and over 10ppg with the Lynx this year and I know she’ll be able to further display her offensive talents here in Dandenong.”

“Although she is still only 26, she’s been playing professional for over 10 years now and will give us added experience on the court and in the locker room.”

The NBL1 Women’s roster is building nicely with plenty of big stars announced, but we’ve still got a few cards up our sleeves Ranger Nation!
