Rangers Take Out Big Sky Championship

Dandenong Basketball would like to congratulate Ranger alumni Tyler Robertson and Jack Perry on their success during the Big Sky Conference Tournament last week, taking out the tournament championship and helping Easten Washington earn a spot in the NCAA Division 1 Tournament!

The Eagles were able to grab an early lead in the tournament final against Montana State and were able to hold on to it thanks to some big plays by both Tyler and Jack. Ending up double-digit victors in a 65-55 final, they now head to March Madness where they will take on the famous Kansas Jayhawks in Round 1 this Sunday morning at 4:15AM Melbourne time.

Gaining a spot in March Madness is even sweeter for our Rangers after the disappointing end to the 2020 NCAA season, with the Big Sky Conference Tournament cancelled due to COVID-19 while the Eagles were top-seeded. They now head to the world’s most famous basketball tournament with both Rangers making their March Madness debut.

Good luck Tyler and Jack, a superb job winning the Big Sky title but the work doesn’t stop here! Go out and make some headlines with a few big upsets…GO RANGERS!
