Return To Basketball At Dandenong Stadium Update

Last week’s Victorian Government announcements have given us the strongest indication yet of a return to sport at Dandenong Stadium this month.

Provided the current COVID-19 situation stays on its projected path, Dandenong Basketball is hopeful of a return to non-contact training for 18 years and under from early November.

A return to contact training and competitions for both Juniors and Seniors is then expected in the weeks that follow.  This is in line with Basketball Victoria’s latest Return to Sport update and the ‘Last Step’ of the COVID-19 Roadmap. You can view this update on Basketball Victoria’s website here.

Dandenong Basketball is working closely with the City of Greater Dandenong to ensure a COVID-Safe reopening of Dandenong Stadium.  We will provide further updates as to when we can reopen as soon as we receive approval from the Council to do so.

With this in mind, we are now accepting tentative court bookings for non-contact junior team training and school groups. For pricing and booking information please contact our Stadium Operations Officer, Kim Morton, via email.

Keep your fingers and toes crossed DBA Family! It’s been a tough slog this year but hopefully we’ll all be back on the court in only a few weeks’ time. Get outside, find yourself a basketball court and get your game ready for a big summer of hoops at Dandenong Stadium!
