Dandenong Basketball Association Inc. together with the Dandenong Rangers are delighted to confirm the appointment of Samantha Woosnam as Head Coach of our NBL1 South Men’s team for Season 2022 and 2023.
Sam will become the first female Head Coach of a Men’s team in NBL1 South.
After a distinguished WNBL playing career, Sam has achieved success as a highly respected Coach, having won two SEABL Conference Championships and the inaugural NBL1 Women’s Championship in 2019 with the Kilsyth Cobras. Sam coached the Kilsyth Cobras Women’s team over six seasons achieving an impressive 80% win record.
Sam is not new to our program having held the first Assistant Coaching role of our Men’s team over the 2021 Season and this year’s pre-season.
